I believe that because of growing population, future cities are eventually going to have to incorporate trains and subways. New York City is the most populated city in the United States and without their subway system, it seems like it would almost be impossible to efficiently transport. Bigger cities that are continuously growing, such as Los Angeles, are going to have to find solutions for this increase in population, and I believe subways are the answer. Of course, this solution would not completely wipe cars out, but I do believe that most of the car manufacturers are using new technology to try to make the change to electric only. Another change that I expect for future cities is vertical expansion. We can not create more land for buildings such as apartment complexes and offices, but we can build more buildings and build them taller which creates more space.
